介词在句子中不能独立充当一个成分，往往和后面的宾语共同构成句子的成分。介词与名词、形容词、动词有着固定的搭配。
常用介词用法：
1.across（穿过）
Mymother lives across the street.
Icame across him yesterday. （comeacross偶然遇到）
Thepost office is just across the street.
2.after（在……之后）
Thechildren went to bed after saying good night to their parents.
Whowill look after your baby while youre away？
（lookafter 照看，照料，take care of）
Thegirl is named after her mother.
（nameafter 以……命名）
Rewritethe sentences after the model. （模仿，仿照）
